In about a week I’m going to Japan. I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting to go there forever and now it’s almost happening. I’m going with the same friend with whom I took the Mongolian express to Russia, Mongolia, China and Tibet (I can’t believe it’s been over 7 months and I haven’t even taken a weekend trip– been busy writing).
So, where are we going and, of course, how did I plan this trip?
First of all, everybody who’s ever been to Japan has told me how expensive it is there (probably worse than Iceland). So, yeah, I saved up enough so I don’t have to survive on junk food in the land of sushi (I LOVE sushi btw).
I found this trip with Travelbird in which you visit 5 cities with the high-speed train: Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka. Love Travelbird btw. So far, my experience with them – e.g. Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia – has been excellent.
I’ll be taking a lot of pictures and of course, post a blog about it when I return. The upcoming week I will be searching for travel blogs on Japan, foodie hotspots and more.
If you’ve been to Japan and have tips I’d love to hear about them!
